This small day-use area is tucked beneath the rugged volcanic face of Cave Rock. Facilities include a boat launch ramp and dock, comfort station, picnic sites, and a small sandy beach. Kaspian National Forest Picnic Area

Nice, newly rebuilt (7/98) pier at the north end of pleasant picnic area (despite being somewhat close to the road), pebble/cobble beach, bicycle and hike-in camping inland of the main road (Hwy 89).

Directions: Kaspian Campground is located on the west shore of Lake Tahoe on Highway 89, near Tahoe City, California. From Truckee, take Highway 89 South to Tahoe City. Continue south on Highway 89 from Tahoe City for another 4.2 miles to Kaspian Picnic Area. Approximately 2/3 of the way between Tahoe City and Homewood.
