D.L. Bliss State Park

North of and adjacent to Emerald Bay State Park (they are administered jointly, and basically considered to be D.L.Bliss/Emerald Bay State Park), shoreline of D.L. Bliss stretches from slightly north of Rubicon Point to slightly north of Emerald Point.

Emerald Bay State Park

Primitive boat camp with moorings, piers, and beaches; Vikingsholm Mansion, hiking (beautiful waterfalls), Fanette Island with the famous tea house, strenuous climb to the parking lot. The park is located 22 miles south of Tahoe City.

Emerald Bay Details

Kaspian National Forest Picnic Area

Nice, newly rebuilt (7/98) pier at the north end of pleasant picnic area (despite being somewhat close to the road), pebble/cobble beach, bicycle and hike-in camping inland of the main road (Hwy 89).

Directions: Kaspian Campground is located on the west shore of Lake Tahoe on Highway 89, near Tahoe City, California. From Truckee, take Highway 89 South to Tahoe City. Continue south on Highway 89 from Tahoe City for another 4.2 miles to Kaspian Picnic Area. Approximately 2/3 of the way between Tahoe City and Homewood.

South of Sunnyside on State Route 89, campsites across highway, rest rooms, picnic facilities, BBQ.

Sand Harbor (Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park)

Sand Harbor is the most popular, with sandy beaches, a boat launch, picnicking and group use facilities. Sand Harbor is located three miles south of Incline Village on State Route 28. Sugar Pine Point State Park

Nice public pier, main attraction the Ehrman Mansion, lots of activities offered, good hiking, 175 campsites.

The ski trail parking on the west side of Highway 89 and the day use area on the east side of Highway 89 remain open during the winter.

Seasons: The campground will close for the winter season on November 30th and reopen on May 1st.

Zephyr Cove Resort

Location: Zephyr Cove is located on Lake Tahoe's South shore, 4 miles North of Stateline on Hwy 50. The rental office for all accommodations is located across the street from the Lodge, in the RV Park.
