Sand Harbor is the most popular, with sandy beaches, a boat launch, picnicking and group use facilities. Sand Harbor is located three miles south of Incline Village on State Route 28. A series of beautiful, remote beaches. Because it is a hike from the parking lot and the lot is small, these beaches are less crowded that most others. Some are frequented by nudists.

This private east-shore estate was built by Roy Whittell, an early Lake Tahoe eccentric who was the original owner of the Thunderbird. There is no public access, but it is fun to cruise by.
