There is a shallow bar that runs most of the way across the entrance. Be sure to enter between the red and green buoys. Once inside the bay, the speed limit is 15 knots. | ||||||||||||||||

Emerald Bay sports the lake's only real island: Fannette Island. The rocky island is topped by the remains of a stone tea house, build and once used by the original owners of Vikingsholm. A trail leads from the south-west corner of the island up to the top. (This view shows the north side of the island.) | ||||||||||||||||
