Rocks at Rubicon Point The central part of the west shore includes some of the lake's oldest resorts and homes. Meek's Bay includes a marina (tucked in behind the beach), a beach, and a resort with cabins. Many private homes circle the rest of the bay. Broad Rubicon bay has a great beach at the southern end. This is one of the few places on the lake with private homes on large, forested, lakefront lots with private beaches. If your budget can handle $6,000 per week and up, there are some fantastic rentals here. Rubicon point, at the south end of this region, is a spectacular cliff. Because the water is very deep right up to the cliffs, you can cruise very close to the shore here. At the north end of this region is Sugar Pine Point state park, which has a pier, a nice beach, beautiful grounds, and the Ehrman mansion. |
